Types of Work Permits We Handle
Open Work Permit (OWP): Allows you to work for any employer in Canada without a specific job offer. Commonly issued to spouses of students or skilled workers, vulnerable workers, or under public policies.
Spousal Open Work Permit: If your spouse or partner is studying or working in Canada, you may be eligible for an open work permit giving you the freedom to work while living together in Canada.
Post-Graduation Work Permit (PGWP): Graduated from a Canadian college or university? This permit lets you work in Canada for up to 3 years, helping you gain experience and qualify for permanent residency.
Bridging Open Work Permit (BOWP): Already applied for permanent residency (e.g. through Express Entry)? A Bridging Open Work Permit lets you keep working in Canada while your PR is processed.
LMIA-Based Closed Work Permit: This permit ties you to a specific job and employer approved by a Labour Market Impact Assessment (LMIA) a document showing no Canadian worker is available for the role.
LMIA-Exempt Work Permit: Some jobs don’t require an LMIA for example, intra-company transfers, international agreements (e.g. CUSMA), or post-secondary co-op placements.
